Nuclear weapons.

I started watching a Netflix show about a missile launch aimed at the U.S.

Of course, I've been aware how frightening it is that Trump has the nuclear codes.

I never thought about what the response would be if a country attacked US! Can you imagine? With Hegseth firing our top military officers, and Trump choosing the response?

I practically had a panic attack. I'll just have to try not to think about it.

I’m completely immune to fear of this.

There’s almost a zero percent chance this will happen.

And if it does, doesn’t really matter. I’ll be sure to leave a cool shadow on the wall. That’s if we’re even warned ahead of time. What would be the point of warning anyone?

Don’t worry about it. They want you scared of everything.

That's interesting. I lived through the Cold War. We practiced hiding under our desks to protect us from a nuclear attack. Ha ha.

I am constantly scared of what awful national or global problem Trump may cause. He's willing to cause a global recession unless he gets a "win" with Iran. I don't think anything feels real to him except what he needs. The inmate is in charge of the asylum.

I am heartbroken that so many Americans are ignorant, brainwashed or cruel enough to support Trump. Look at what has happened to our country. The Democrats approval rating is as low as Trump's.

I don't know how we can come back from this. I do have some hope, though.

None of this is by accident or the result of his stupidity or “insanity.” This is what they want to do, they’re making out like bandits with the tarriffs, manipulating the markets, war spending and skimming/grifting the tax dollars from this war. They’ll make money hand over fist in a recession, probably more than they would in a good economy.

Yeah, it’s horrible that anyone would support this but they didn’t make any secret of what they were going to do. This is what the ruling class does, extract every dollar possible from the working class and take it for themselves.

One day, and unfortunately things are going to have to get so bad there is no other choice, regular working people will see through the game and do what needs to be done.

It’s shame we’re not doing it now while there is still food to be had. But that’s America for you, the most propagandized people in the world.

4. Disinformation.

There has been a confluence of the effect of social media, "influencers", chatbots from hostile actors and deliberate disinformation from Republican sources.

As Theodore Roosevelt wrote: "Americans only learn from catastrophes, not from experiences."
