Does anyone remember what "normal" was like?

I'm sure it was different from what we are living today.

It isn't "normal" to talk about one person so much and silenced by an army of idiots.

It isn't "normal" to pretend that the lie is the truth.

Surely there is a better place?

Trump was running for office the whole 4 yrs so while it felt better he was still in the news constantly. I don’t think I have fully relaxed since before Bush. During Obama’s time it was non stop tea party crap and Palin and doing everything outrageous to stop Obama including stopping him from getting supreme justice which we had plenty of time to do and didn’t fight hard enough.

it reminds me of a quote often attributed to Marcus Aurelius: "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth."

That's when we first became fearful and, to a certain extent, hateful (lusting for revenge at that point). Everything since then has seemingly been designed to take advantage of that fear/hate. And to grow it in new/old directions.

COVID didn't help, for sure.

I don't think we've ever regained our balance since 9-11. Most of the following years have made it worse.

Dems put their foot down and go on the offense to undo all that was done by an evil strategy that has been ongoing for decades to get to this level of bizarre.
