A new diet is sweeping through President Trump's cabinet--and it involves heaping portions of sauerkraut.

What?

This is what I mean when I say RFK should be considered the GOP frontrunner for 2028. The base needs a non-embarrassing, inheritable cult and Evil Dr. Spaceman over here has the vice president exclusively eating the ingredients to a fart.

Nobody else has got that Jim Jones juice.

Yes, sauerkraut is highly nutritious and offers multiple health benefits, particularly for digestion, immunity, and overall wellness.

Nutritional Value
Sauerkraut is a fermented cabbage rich in probiotics, fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K2, iron, and manganese. One cup (142 grams) provides about 20% of your daily vitamin C, 16% of vitamin K, and a meaningful dose of fiber and B6, all for roughly 72 calories. Fermentation enhances nutrient bioavailability and produces beneficial bacteria that support gut health

Digestive Health
The probiotics in sauerkraut help maintain a healthy gut microbiome, improving digestion and nutrient absorption. Regular consumption may reduce symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease and prevent constipation. Immune and Anti-Inflammatory Benefits

. Some studies suggest it may also have antioxidant and anticancer properties

Heart, Bone, and Weight Management
The fiber and probiotics in sauerkraut may support heart health by improving cholesterol metabolism. Vitamin K2 contributes to bone health by aiding calcium metabolism. Its low-calorie, high-fiber content can help with weight management by promoting satiety.

.Consumption Guidelines
For optimal benefits, it is recommended to eat 1 tablespoon (10 grams) per day, gradually increasing up to 6 tablespoons (60 grams) if tolerated. Raw, unpasteurized sauerkraut from the refrigerated section is preferred, as pasteurization destroys live probiotics. Overconsumption may cause digestive discomfort, such as diarrhea, especially initially

Considerations
Sauerkraut is high in sodium, so individuals monitoring salt intake should consume it in moderation. People with histamine intolerance may experience allergy-like symptoms. Homemade or carefully selected store-bought sauerkraut without added sugar or preservatives is ideal

In summary, sauerkraut is a nutrient-dense, probiotic-rich food that supports gut health, immunity, and overall wellness when consumed in moderation and as part of a balanced diet.

They should add eggs. Then, they just may stand a chance during the hazy snoozy photo ops.

Which just might be the goal.

That said - I like sauerkraut. Not daily, mind you. Upon occasion.

(sung to the tune of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" )

"My country's tired of me,
Sent me to Germany,
My name is Fritz.
Now I eat sauerkraut,
It makes my ears stick out
From ev'ry mountain shout,
Let sauerkraut sprout!"

Seems appropos.....! Our country certainly is tired of them, and (Nazi) Germany would make a good home for them.

An epidemic of high blood pressure has swept President Trump's Cabinet.

"We don't understand this at all," said Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), a licensed physician and Trump confidante who was brought in at the request of the president to help manage the problem. '"Everyone's blood pressure was under control a month ago. Now it's through the roof. Working for President Trump is the most relaxing job in the world, so there should be no reason Vice President Pence's blood pressure is 200-over-165, but it is."

Another representative from Texas may have an idea why this is happening.

"The recipe for sauerkraut is to mix 100 pounds of shredded cabbage and 100 pounds of salt then leave the shit to rot until it stinks everyone out of the house," said Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). "That idiot RFK Junior has everyone working for Trump eating three cans of sauerkraut a day. What the hell did they expect would happen?"

and staying alive during long winters without fresh food - it’s not a bad recommendation, I guess even brainworms are right every now and then. I like choucroute garnis, showing once again that if you give something a French name it makes it better. And don’t forget the many types of kimchi! Just keep the sodium content in mind.

One decent idea for every ten stupid ones, though, doesn’t absolve Kennedy of all his other attempts to make America sicker again.
