Donald Trump humiliated as Barack Obama surges far ahead in new approval ratings race

Former President Barack Obama has higher favorability polling numbers than the sitting president, according to a new survey released on the day he’s set to open his presidential library.

snip

Obama sits at a 57% favorability rating, while Trump is viewed positively at 34% and Biden at 30%. It came as Trump was branded "creepy" for a "totally inappropriate" move on French president Emmanuel Macron's wife.

snip

Besides Obama leading in favorability in a rating nearly double that of Trump and Biden combined, he also polls more positively by independents.

Among independents, Obama has a 56% favorability rating, compared to 25% for Trump and 20% for Biden.

Democrats gave Obama a near-100 % positivity rating, with the former president at 96% within his party, compared to Biden’s 71% approval rating.

Pulling wings off bugs, stealing money from charities, starving children, hating immigrants and more do bring him joy. The cruelty of it brings him joy, but not in the true sense of the word.

He has never had a true belly laugh in his life, never felt real joy or love for anyone in his entire miserable existence.

As a Democrat, I get the frustration with GOP attacks. They pile on relentlessly. But pinning Biden's 30% approval mostly on "character assassination" misses the bigger picture.

Biden started his term with an approval in the mid-50s. The decline began around mid-2021 and stuck around the low 40s to high 30s (with dips into the mid-30s) for years.

A lot of the drop also came from inside our own Party. Plenty of Democrats were furious that he insisted on running for re-election despite low approval ratings and being over 80, only to drop out at the very last minute in July 2024 - too late for a real primary or for the party to properly unite behind someone else. That decision frustrated many of us and tanked enthusiasm, especially among independents who saw it as putting personal pride over the country’s needs.

If it were mostly effective GOP attacks, you'd expect similar cratering for Obama (or other Democrats with strong personal favorability).

that he's running again for a third term in 2028. Putting up Obama against him (another president with a third term) might cause him to take pause. The humiliation would kill him and Elon doesn't have enough money to stop Obama from another presidential win.

In response to actual events, versus just living life in a miasma of constant knowledge of inadequacy. These are far beyond this sad little sack's skill set.
