MN-GOV: Klobuchar continues to far out-raise GOP candidates for Minnesota governor
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, the presumptive Democratic-Farmer-Labor nominee for Minnesota governor, has continued to expand her fundraising advantage over her three Republican opponents, with nearly seven times their combined cash on hand, according to campaign finance data released this week.
Since launching her bid for governor at the end of January, Klobuchar has raised over $7 million a staggering cash advantage that will likely be compounded by outside spending by DFL-aligned allies like the Alliance for a Better Minnesota. Her campaign has over $3.8 million cash on hand going into the summer months.
The campaign finance data encompasses campaign donations and spending from the beginning of the year to the end of May.
On the Republican side, a three-way Aug. 11 primary between GOP-endorsed candidate Kendall Qualls, House Speaker Lisa Demuth and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell will decide who will face Klobuchar in November.
