"The chances of your being killed in a terrorist attack are near zero. But your chances of being killed if your heart attacks you are pretty high. Norm MacDonald
There were reports and rumors a while back that the Iranians were hoping to kill the fella in the White House. As others point out, the chances of that are near zero, especially now that the fella is trying to surrender to Iran. No president has done more to lift Iran to a higher position within the global community, or reduced our country's standing than this guy.
On the other hand, there may be those in Iran that would like to kill Netanyahu. If the Israeli leader continues to ignore the president's attempted surrender, and continues bombing Lebanon, the MoU may not hold. In every Mutt and Jeff team, one partner self-identifies as the alpha dog. One wonders how the president will react if Netanyahu refuses to go along with the plans to end the war against Iran. The fella in the White House has turned on and betrayed people who have helped him, so it would not come as a shock if he turns on Netanyahu.
Suddenly, some of the pro-Israel groups and individuals are now insisting that Congress has to approve the president's planned retreat. Yet they were fully opposed to Congress invoking the War Powers Act. Though it is highly unlikely that the president will agree to that the proposed agreement will be more of an American yard sale than a treaty the necroconservatives in Congress will behave as if the president has betrayed them.
It may be difficult for us to imagine that some are unsettled after the president's awe-inspiring speech at the G7. Never before has a president spoken for nearly an hour in a single run-on sentence, combining fragments of unconnected phrases in a manner that appeared to combine moderate senility with mild psychosis. Surely this reassured the vast majority of the earth's human population that this is a man in charge yet some found it bizarrely unhinged.
The maga cult members for whom the toothbrush was named have never been pro-Israel. They carry on the white hooded antisemitism of their foreskins. They would have been just as happy if the president bombed Israel instead of Iran. They get off on violence. Yet they are no as significant as the formerly pro-Israel right-wing influencers who are now opposed to the actions of Netanyahu, recognizing that he poses the single greatest threat to Israel and the United States.
As noted, Netanyahu does not consider the president to be the alpha dog. Rather, he views the fella to be a yappy lap dog. He has no intention of honoring the MoU the president desperately needs for an off ramp to the war that Netanyahu got him involved in. The Israeli leader in war crimes favors ass clowns such as Ambassador Mike Huckabee, who recently said that Israel has the biblical right to expand their territory. In support of this manifest destiny, Hucleberry recently had Jonathan Pollard to the U.S. embassy. Nothing like endorsing Pollard, one of the most damaging spies against our country, now running a campaign on a platform calling for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian lands.
Another of the working poodles for Israel adoption is none other than Senator Tom Cotton. He was upset by the indictments in the AIPAC espionage case. (See link below)

Why, Tom demands, should Israel have to spy on the US when a law can be passed that provides them with full access to all the top secret intelligence our country has? By merely giving away sovereignty, we can make guys like Pollard heroes, instead of enemies of the United States by merely passing the United States Israeli Intelligence Sharing Enhancement (Section 622: S. 4615 of the Intelligence Authorization Act).
What could possibly go wrong? In a world where the war on Iran has already changed international relations, are there not distinct advantages in having us become the conjoined twin with the other most hated nation on Earth? In making the neoconsevative wet dream a reality?

They are terrible people. They have for generations attributed all types of conspiracy theories to Jewish people, including the half that live in Israel, and the half that live elsewhere. They are distinct from those of us who are opposed to Netanyahu's actions.

(Can you imagine what it is like to be out doing lawn & garden work, and having thoughts of sentences like this one appearing in one's mind? Laughing out loud, thus scaring the neighbors and people driving by?)

(3,972 posts)dont approve of what Netanyahu is doing. Then you have congressional morons who think opposing Netanyahu proves antisemitism. Does that mean the Israeli people are antisemitic?
Take Netanyahu out of the way and we have a cease fire, at least. Peace soon enough.
The imbecile in the White House can no more negotiate peace than he can string two coherent sentences together. I dont expect him to negotiate peace when he doesnt even understand how tariffs work.
Anyone in the world is capable of intimidating mango Mussolini, and Netanyahu doesnt have to put much effort into it. He has no incentive to do what mango wants hes been running right over him for years now.
What do you think the outcome will be?

(79,479 posts)thing that concerns me. Just like in Iran, when a country is at war, its population tends to come together, and frequently become increasingly conservative. In this sense, I mean more likely to support their government's actions. There are mixed reports on how the Jewsish population in Israel views the current violence -- some reports suggest that Netanyahu is losing support, and others that suggest it is increasing.
Another thing is that the fella running against Netanyahu is about as horrible a human being. Add, of course, that when I speak of Netanyahu, I am fully aware that he is surrounded by a number of people who are just as bad. So if the MoU holds for the US and Iran, but doesn't hold for Israel in Lebanon, if Iran stays involved, will the president come to their rescue? Because in a conflict between Iran and Israel, it would seem Israel loses without Uncle Sam playing body guard. And there are indications that the president is no longer fond of Netanyahu.
Would Netanyahu resport to nukes? If much of Israel is being devastated, the chances increase. Now, something I was going to post about ten days ago -- after researching it a bit more -- were several reports on podcasts featuring ex-military and intelligence officers had to do with Iran's ability not to make a nuke, but to access one. That Marco was informed of this, hence the president's insisting that Iran not buy one. Now, others can disagree with me without risk of hurting my feelings. but I suspect that this is the same as Turkey.
Turkey is concerned about Israel's on-going theft of lands they mistakenly believe belong to them. As I've noted previously, when Netanyahu planned to send a group of Kurds to invade Iran, Turkey was opposed to having armed Kurds on their border. The VP was aware of this, which is why he leaked the Israeli plan to Turkey, who then got the president to stop the plan. This, of course, was the exact reason why U.S. intelligence recently reported on increased Israeli spying on U.S. politicians -- specifically Vance.
Turkey recntly sought to buy a nuke from a third country. It is a country where the military are militias overlap to a large extent. Without mentioning Pakistan by name, they assured Turkey that if push comes to shove, they will provide them with one. Keep in mind that a large militia from this unnamed country (Pakistan) was prepared to enter Iran and fight on their side. So from what I have learned, it is likely that if Netanyahu resorts to nukes, Israel will be hit by one.
This is insane. The war has significantly weakened the US and Israel, and made it a close contest as to which of the two now leads in the most hated country on earth. At the same time, it has strengthened Iran and convinced Arab countries that America cannot protect them. This obviously isn't a good thing. President Obama and John Kerry had made a great deal with Iran, which was working and definitely should have been continued. At least in my opinion, that was a heck of a lot better than our losing the war in 2026.
