When it's wrong we make it right ( shout out to Randi Rhodes )

Juneteenth is not a black holiday. It’s an American holiday. As a white boomer my perspective is obviously different from black and brown Americans, but I keep hearing a saying that Randi Rhodes repeated quite often.

“ It’s not , my country right or wrong. It’s my country and when it’s wrong we make it right ! “
For most of us the beauty of this country is that we realize that we are so very far from the realization of the constitution but that it is a worthy goal to strive for. We admit our shortcomings are trying to do better. Agonizingly slow, but still the idea is to move forward.
Now we’re in a two steps forward, one hundred years back situation .

Randi was / is so very right .
