On Facebook, its AI is beginning to quote me sometimes.

I often write explanatory posts in threads on Facebook, particularly in some FB Groups I'm part of. Recently, I've noticed that FB AI summaries are sometimes grabbing my information and quoting me as the source, by name.

I try to be accurate with the information I post everywhere, so I don't really mind, and I'm not earning my living by doing that any longer. I used to, as contributor to a variety of consumer-oriented magazines. I'm still writing that stuff, but not for money any longer.

So, what I gather from this is that the AI engine is looking at current postings, rating them for accuracy, and quoting them in its summaries. I find that interesting, especially since they're using my name in the summaries as the source.

I'm not quite sure what to make of that, but it's interesting. The items I'm seeing are very recent, so it's clearly reading comments on Facebook for source material.
