Aaron Rupar outlines why Trump's age is way more of a factor than Biden's

"The nature of Trump's personalist presidency, in which the entire govt is organized around turning his whims into reality and the barest hint of dissent is swiftly punished, makes the question of his age *even more important* than it was with Biden, who was surrounded by competent people."

Jake Tapper is a lost cause of course, but how can the rest of the media be blind to this? He is not only falling asleep all the time, ranting and raving and threatening violence, gorging himself on revenge against "enemies" and endless vanity projects, HE IS MISMANAGING A WAR and even his own party knows it.

But the main point that Rupar is making, is that there is no one to stop him. IF Biden's age was a real issue (and that's a big if to me), he listened to his advisors who were experts.

That's the real story here, media. Get it together.

Biden surrounded himself by competent people. Trump wanted to control everything and removed all the guardrails.

and lost a step, but he still had his basic morality and judgement intact. So he wasn't going to do anything dangerous anyway. And he listened to his advisors who he picked for the right reasons, Trump's situation is much, much worse and the media is failing in conveying that.

Trump is a dementia addled narcissist who has never had a clue on how to be decent human being.

He walked slower, he talked slower, occasionally he'd stumble or misplace a name,, but he was still very much in control of reality and governing emotions, and could still deliver meaningful and eloquent public addresses.

Trump is none of that. Probably because Trump has underlying and lifelong psychological dysfunctions, and compounded upon his age, it makes it all the worse.

But I'm still angry the way President Biden was treated and dismissed simply because he was old and nothing else. He certainly deserved a whole hell of a lot better, and we failed him.
