i checked the Xfinity/Comcast outage map -- the outages appear to be in east and west coast major cities and surrounding areas, looks like blue areas mostly.

6. Same Here

Our power went out briefly following a lightning strike directly in front of our home in Fairfax. Except for one light, which makes no sense. No Verizon. Incredibly loud and scary. My son was holding his phone and got zapped, but he’s OK. Potentially four more hours of this.
