The Alabama Supreme Court will not hear an appeal in the case of a woman who killed three and injured three at the University of Alabama in Huntsville six years ago.
The Court announced today it will not hear Amy Bishop's request for appeal.
Bishop, a Harvard University-trained associate professor is housed at Tutwiler Prison for Women where she's serving a life sentence. She pleaded guilty to the killings in 2012, and the Madison County District Attorney's Office chose not to seek the death penalty.
The court offered no opinion on why it denied the writ of certiorari, which is a request for a higher court to review a lower court's ruling.
Bishop took a handgun from her purse during a meeting on Feb. 12, 2010 and opened fire at UAH.

She pled guilty, and has been trying to appeal ever since. I hope this sad little episode is finally over, to the extent that such things can ever really be over.
