Reminder for those traveling during this holiday season-Passports must have 6 months validity left

If you are traveling this holiday season to go home or just on vacation make sure your passport is valid for a full 6 months after your return date. Airlines and immigration in countries around the world have been lax in the past, but are being told to enforce the rule. This could potentially prevent you from getting to your destination or worse prevent you from getting home (where ever that maybe).

Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings to all my expat friends around the world.

they wouldn't be able to get back. The six months is a buffer to make sure people get out of the visiting country.

For example, Canadians can visit Korea for up to 90 days (lucky bastards) without a visa. So the passport would have to have a validity of at least 9 months left if someone were planning on staying the full 90 days.
