672 protests planned for April 5 "Hands Off!"

Yesterday there were 570. At this rate we'll have over 1,100 more added by April 5, 11 days from now. I've never seen this happen before and I'm an active activist.

1. People, especially those that didn't vote for it,

are really, really pissed. And many of who did vote for it are getting pissed, because they are finally, finally, waking up to the fact that they have been lied to.

Edited to add: And many of those who did vote for it are realizing the rest of us see them as putin lovers and betrayers of the u.s., and they don't like that one bit; in their minds they are loyal u.s. citizens.

2. Caution of History for April 5, Protests

We must remember January 6, 2021 Riots and contemplate the possibilities now that Trump has enabled the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Racists and other violent right wing republicans and take precautions to keep these same thugs for destroying our protest messages and focusing the lame steam media on “our” violence during the protests. We need to assume the thugs are showing up and suggest to the leaderships of each city protest that they contact The City Governments, Police, Prosecutors and cc. to media that we are aware of the probability of this happening and that we expect “equal protection of the law” no matter the party of the thugs. And be sure everyone is ready to film up close who is causing the violence for potential law suits and criminal evidence. We should try very hard not to respond violence with violence and keep the facts on our side. Then we should report as widely as we can what we all witnessed and filmed. The protests from Trumps first “election” were a mess in Portland partly because the Proud Boys etc were successful at starting violence and not getting punished for it. Let's be vocal And stay safe as we can While staying ahead of the thugs.

4. At 2017 my first "Impeach tRump" protest

I was right up front by the organizers who were speaking to a couple hundred people in San Diego. Two guys had bullhorns and were trying to drown out their speeches. I was so pissed off. They were asked to leave and sheriffs came to calm people down. I never heard of the Proud Boys since they were new and they told the sheriffs that they came down from LA to disrupt the protest. I learned that sheriffs are different than police officers that day in person. Basically they did NOTHING to the two "boys". Finally the chief of police was called and she got to the bottom of it and they were kicked out. The sheriffs were GOP supporters.
