Complicity ➡️ noncooperation 🗽 Form a Courage Collective. 🗽 (Indivisible)

DU'er

We’re in a moment of authoritarian breakthrough: The Trump regime is doing everything it can to rapidly consolidate power, stomp out dissent, and dismantle democratic checks and balances. But the regime can’t do all that alone.

Donald Trump’s authoritarian dreams rely on the complicity -- or at the very least, complacency -- of other powerful people and systems.

Corporate leaders. Faith organizations. Educational institutions. Civil servants. Law enforcement. Trump needs these pillars of society, among others, to uphold his authority as he grasps for permanent power. Without their cooperation, his fascist house of cards collapses.

At Indivisible, we’re doing the hard work to transform the societal pillars upholding Trump’s power into unyielding opponents of his regime.

It won’t be easy, and it won’t happen all at once. It’s going to take all of us -- relentlessly organizing within the various groups and communities we are part of -- to show those in power that there’s more to lose from complicity than from noncooperation.

That’s why we're piloting a brand new program called Courage Collectives.

What is a Courage Collective?

Courage Collectives are groups of everyday people with a common interest, experience, or background who work together to organize noncooperation against the Trump regime. In essence, Courage Collectives identify a “pillar of power” that they share a connection to -- then push that pillar to take a stand against Trump.

A Courage Collective might look like a band of alumni pushing their alma mater to reject Trump’s anti-democratic funding deals... Or a faith congregation urging its leaders to speak out against the MAGA agenda… Or a team of musicians and podcasters demanding that Spotify stop playing ICE propaganda.

The possibilities are truly endless, and we’re encouraging everyday folks to form as many collectives as we can. Here are just a few of the Courage Collectives that Indivisibles like you have organized already:

United in Faith: a coalition of progressive churches and people of faith in Snohomish County, WA fighting back against Trump's misuse of religion to spread authoritarianism

Cornell Courage: a Cornell alumni network pushing the university to reject Trump’s attacks on free speech, academic freedom, and campus DEI initiatives

Educators Resist: a team of teachers, faculty, and school administrators in Sacramento, CA organizing local educators to organize against authoritarian education policies

United Veteran-Civilian Response: veterans and civilians in Seattle, WA collectively pushing back against threats of a Trump military takeover in their city

So what can you do?

We’re calling on you (yes, you!) to form a Courage Collective if you’re able.

Think about the many hats you wear in your everyday life -- parent, worker, student, alumnus, donor, veteran, or any other group you belong to -- and how you can work with your peers in one of those groups to push back on Trump’s authoritarian power-grab.

When you’re ready, complete the form linked here to start the process of forming a Courage Collective!

We’ll then reach out with training, resources, and support to get your group off the ground.

Through historic mass protests, tireless advocacy, and that Election Day beatdown a few weeks ago, we’ve already shown the world that Trump’s opposition is widespread and powerful. But to truly end his authoritarian threat, we need to build a brave, relentless backlash within every facet of society.

Too many pillars of society are still scared to stand against Trump. But courage is contagious, and Courage Collectives are how we spread it.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

I am drafting a long post for Activist HQ about something going 14 years back.

It has to be drafted with concentration and care. I am attacking a system not any mentor I personally ever had. Certainly not my mentor at an institution I will be attacking as harshly as I can. He was a decent man and a good scientist and shoud not be scapegoated for having the politics of his era that most people had back then and many always will.

That’s how the system/machine etc wins. It will isolate the problem to the least culpable people , purging them from the system and making it all more fascistic. He was a decent man, but many scientists and doctors have somewhat blah politics. I did. But in practice they are decent people, but university and hospital admins and the private institutions with ties to universities and the lawyers for these entities-that’s where the problem lies. Or in business and economics departments or those heavily indebted to billionaire philanthropies.

I have to draft it with care or I am just shooting my own foot off.

This wouldn’t make much sense to someone like James Buchanan. It is not self interest in the narrow way an ass like that would think of it.
Apparently, I am a “zealot” . So be it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trap_(British_TV_series)

In an interview, the economist James M. Buchanan decries the notion of the "public interest", asking what it is and suggesting that it consists purely of the self-interest of the governing bureaucrats. Buchanan also proposes that organisations should employ managers who are motivated only by money. He describes those who are motivated by other factors—such as job satisfaction or a sense of public duty—as "zealots".

(Hat tip to the awesome Yasha Levine for a reference I found on his site that lead me to this idiotic man’s drivel..Buchanan that is. Those people are a nightmare.
To keep stubbing your toes on the thought processes of this type of person’s worldview…)

I didn’t get the 22 thing in the 47+22 one..
Sadly, I now know useless shit such as that 88 and 14 are Nazi codes .. ..never heard of 22 before. (And “Ok” and the curled index finger and thumb sign fit okay ..incredible the number of harmless things which now have such connotations )

Transcript (sorta) from a YouTube video

I won't post it. Just search Musk 22

why does Elon Musk always wear the no 22 Air Force jacket the mysterious reasons behind his behavior are shocking when musk was invited to meet with the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon he put on that Air Force jacket which is very precious to him and which he only wears when meeting with Trump such a dress is his way of conveying to the outside world his firm determination to go to space it is worth noting that the number 22 on must left shoulder is not only his life number but also the number of 22 Starling satellites successfully

launched by his SpaceX company last month this number 22 is considered to endow him with great vision and strong practical ability secondly the NASA logo on musk's left chest is equally eye catching and this time he also specially tied a and as a logo belt around his waist it should be known that this week SpaceX successfully replaced NASA in bringing back the astronauts who had been stranded in space for 9 months solving a thorny problem for NASA this is also a major step for musk towards space most importantly musk even pasted his name musk on the upper right of this Air Force jacket it should be noted that this is an act that only officially enlisted astronauts would do this Behavior clearly shows that musk has already started planning to land on Mars do you think we can see this Tech Giant land on Mars in our lifetime
