Related: About this forumGoing forward, you may see the occasional error page on DU -- but don't worry
This discussion thread was locked by EarlG (a host of the Announcements group).
As part of our effort to track down the bug which was causing Star Members to see ads last week (which we believe we have now fixed!) we made some configuration changes to DU behind the scenes.
We have now changed our configuration back to the way it was. It is our expectation that from your perspective, nothing will happen -- however, there is a possibility that you may see some occasional error pages, specifically "520" errors or other errors referencing Cloudflare.
Please do not be alarmed -- if you do see such an error, a simple page reload should make it go away, and we expect that over time most of these errors will clear up.
We will be monitoring the situation, so there is no need to report these errors to an Admin UNLESS they are persistent and are interfering with your ability to browse DU -- in which case, please let us know.
Thanks for reading!

(7,206 posts)Android phone, Chrome browser with ad blocker, it happened exactly like it did a few weeks ago, I clicked on a tweet in a DU post, which took me to the Twitter app, then when I came back to the DU post in Chrome there was a dialog box saying "Pop-up blocked," which is what the ad blocker does when it blocks a pop-up ad.
I just dismissed the notification & continued, to me it's no big deal & it seems like it only happens once or twice & then goes away so I haven't been concerned about it.

(27,270 posts)DU is way down on the list thanks to the work you do..The only thing I fear is the blackout that occurred in November of 2016. Otherwise, no worries with DU. The administrators are great!

(55,731 posts)it was after I did something here to fix something (cleared cache or ??? I just don't remember) and I had login issues with a bunch of other sites as well. trying to solve the cloudfare 1020, issue I had to reset some auto clearing of cookies in firefox security that got changed by itself? and that fixed the constant log in issues with all my "regular" sites that are supposed to stay logged in.
