Brett Favre tells Congress he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's

Source: NBC

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre said he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's, a stunning disclosure made to Congress on Tuesday while testifying about his potential misuse of taxpayer money.

Favre, appearing before the House Ways and Means Committee, has been accused of improperly using political connections to redirect public money to his alma mater and his own pocket.

"Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others, and I’m sure you’ll understand why it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s," Favre told lawmakers.

I've seen where alcohol abuse can lead to Parkinsons possibly.

for speeches he never gave?? When pressured he gave the money back but not the interest which is over $200k. Sorry Farve, I don't feel sorry for you or others that SCAMMED the welfare system in Mississippi out of tens of millions of $$.

For hungry children in his state, and use it for a volleyball court for kudos from his daughters' private school.

He is scummy, with or without Parkinson's.

What was this hearing about again? Do you remember or do you have to scroll back up? What about people less interested?

I've seen a lot of headlines about his diagnosis. Few about the reason he was bring it up.

Favre is a shitbag, but I wouldn't wish the way the rest of his life is going to be on anyone.

Yeah, it is unfortunate that he has this affliction, but that does not excuse what he stole from thousands of folks.
