Latest Harris vs. Trump poll: One candidate has the edge across 6 swing states

One candidate in the 2024 presidential race has the edge when it comes to six battleground states that could determine the election.

A new Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, released Thursday, found Vice President Harris narrowly leading former President Trump in the swing states of Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and North Carolina. She is tied with Trump in the battleground state of Georgia.

Harris’s biggest lead is in Nevada, where she has a 7-point lead over the former president with 52 percent of support compared to 45 percent of support.

Her second largest lead is in Pennsylvania, which is seen as a must-win state for Democrats. She leads Trump by 5 points in the state with 51 percent of support. Her support echoes other recent Pennsylvania polls that found Harris leading in the state.

10. Clark County is a Democratic Party stronghold and has most of the votes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harris runs the table on these states, which Biden would have done anyway. Trump was and is never going to win this election.

2. What metric determines the swing states? Why is Nevada considered a swing state?

Nevada:
2008 - Obama by 12.5%
2012 - Obama by 6.68%
2016 - Clinton by 2.5
2020 - Biden by 2.4

Over the years they gone both ways with a slight lean toward repub, but not dominate.
