Heritage-Funded Group Publishes 'Target' List of 'Subversive' Bureaucrats

Source: msn/MEDIAite

12h

A group funded by the far-right Heritage Foundation think tank published a list of federal officials it referred to as “targets.” Targets for what? The site, titled “DHS Watchlist,” does not specify.

The site and the list featured on it are the handiwork of the American Accountability Foundation, which is “Funded by the Heritage Foundation Innovation Award,” according to the site. Mediaite is not linking to it.

Readers are told that the government officials named are “America’s Most Subversive Immigration Bureaucrats.”

Seven agencies are shown, on which users can click via a dropdown menu. They are the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice Executive Office of Immigration Review, the Department of Justice Office of Immigration Litigation, Department of Justice immigration judges, Ombudsman Offices, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Our nation and democracy, generally, has no effective defense when the sacred purpose of a "free press", so enamored by the founders, is outmatched by the "free speech rights" of propagandists.

Our sacred democratic election process has devolved into a crude transactional marketing orgy. It is a ritual of capitalism. It is no longer recognizable as the singularly defining act of self-determination by free people. A victim of limitless "freedom".

Think. Again.

This week the doj "sent a letter" to someone who is flagrantly breaking laws in such a way that could manipulate our elections.

The letter advised the recipients that they might be beaking laws (although I strongly suspect the doj knows whether or not laws were broken and if they don't they should not be working in the doj). This letter was no more than free legal advice to the law breakers that they should adapt their attempts to manipulate the elections to appear less illegal.

I expect the doj to react with the full force of their authority to hold law breakers accountable for breaking laws, and to perform their duties in such a way that deters laws from being broken in the first place.

or maybe it was always corrupt and undermined, even on a large scale and we just never recognized it until we attempted to engage within our system of governance.
And when it comes to participating in our single most effective means of self expression via elections, the "Days of Tammany Hall" never really ended. entirely.
However, I am grateful and appreciate vast improvements in accountability with California's elections systems. Not perfect, don't know how it could be, but vastly improved,

We’ve been here before. Repeatedly. After WW2 we had McCarthy and the blacklists. After WW1 we had the Palmer Raids and mass deportations.

For our First Nation people and for African Americans the fascist face of our government has always been part of their experience.

A link from https://www.joemygod.com/2024/10/heritage-group-publishes-hit-list-of-subversive-feds/

Murdoch's Post promotes all things Heritage; he quotes Thomas Jones of the American Accountability Foundation who launched the website and says more will be "added in coming weeks."

Right now this is just a hit list on the US Immigration Service.

but it is paywalled (I sub to regular Bloomberg but it doesn't cover that site) - https://news.bloomberglaw.com/bloomberg-government-news/trump-deep-state-purge-promise-boosted-by-heritage-funded-list

Sometimes Bloomberg Law News will allow some articles without a paywall.

They mention the "American Accountability Foundation", which has a website here - https://americanaccountabilityfoundation.com/

And here is their "press release" with the "bureaucrat list" - https://americanaccountabilityfoundation.com/blog/2024/10/23/the-biden-harris-bureaucrat-watchlist-goes-live-today/

And that links back to the DHSWatchlist.com page.

Since I have a couple dozen news sites in tabs, each having dozens of links that I scan through all day, this story was well-hidden and didn't really show up on their "main pages" (despite any publication date/time) until late, and when they did, by then they were outside of LBN's 12-hour criteria.

During the trump administration, for protesting. They did it to the black panthers.
They shot and killed people from both of those groups.

The Heritage Foundation primarily funded by the Kochs have a document of destruction ready to go, with a bunch of Nazis loving Constitution hating plans...people ready and already defending it. Project 2025 is sedition if ever there was a plan and they are already intimidating people in our government with their stochastic terrorism by outing hard working government people with their families. This is not normal.

People protesting and engaging in "civil disobedience" (let alone any provocateurs causing damage to buildings), where there are usually local ordinances that have certain restrictions in place, is one thing.

But purportedly "making lists" violates what law?

And I will say this - because I DEFINITELY "get" the frustration on DU because what is going on behind the scenes (and in more recent cases, right out in the open) is MADNESS, but that doesn't get resolved through insisting on and encouraging literal "vigilantism" and "extra-judicial" remedies.

That's vigilantism.

In order to "break down doors", they have to go to a JUDGE to get a search warrant. And in order to get approval for that, they have to comply with this pesky thing -

Fourth Amendment

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/fourth_amendment

We are NOT at the Gestapo stage here in the U.S. although we know 45 wants it and unfortunately many on DU want it as well.

If the violation of some LAW/statute hasn't been identified yet (and that is what they would be looking to do with an investigation that they sure as hell are NOT going to broadcast and spoonfeed to the media about), then there won't be any "breaking down doors". If they let everyone know what they were doing, as they were doing it, and broadcast it because we demand it, then much of it would probably be thrown out in court.

What I mean, is they should be at that point in their process. We all see the dark money flowing into 501c-3 for political reasons and other finacial crimes that brought us to 1/6 an insurrection. If that had been the Black Panther org, well it's not because they had their doors kicked in and some jailed, by the DOJ...FOR LESS THAN 1/6.

Immigration
Immigration is good. Welcoming immigrants who are motivated to improve their lives and contribute to society will enrich America as their ideas and talents drive progress and improve the lives of others. The Charles Koch Foundation is committed to supporting research and initiatives that illustrate how best to open America to everyone who will make the country better off — and nobody who will take advantage or do harm.

Charles Koch through his "official" mission statements of his foundations, speaks with a forked tongue when his Donors Trust network is full of oligarchs like himself who target anyone not wanting this government to be run like Koch Industries. It's his "Freedom" Caucus that has infected the spineless GOP in the House. Project 2025 is his rosemary's baby slouching toward Bethlehem.

this is terrorism under the guise of politics. Why and how can these people get away with this legally? Yes, HF is planning a purge of honest civil workers, the higher the post the more likely to axed. But I can't see how this can be part of a "transition plan" when these people refuse to sign the necessary documents for a transition! And yet, they can declare and brag about a hit list?
