A reporter who leaked the alleged vetting process of Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, has published a similar dossier for Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
Journalist Ken Klippenstein published the 551-page document, which purports to detail whether Rubio would be a suitable candidate for the 2024 Republican vice presidential nomination on his Substack page.
Klippenstein was temporarily suspended from X, formerly Twitter, in September after he leaked the vetting process for Vance, which had allegedly been stolen by Iranian hackers. The social media platform later told Klippenstein his account was suspended for violating their "posting private information" policy, telling him in an email "we know this incident may have been a mistake on your part," according to the journalist.
The Florida senator is reported to be in line to be named Trump's secretary of state in the president-elect's next Cabinet. The alleged vetting process details Rubio's previous scrutiny of the former president's foreign policies and "posture" towards Russia. "Let's see if I get banned again," Klippenstein posted on X on Tuesday while sharing the Rubio dossier. Newsweek has contacted Trump's transition team, Rubio's office, and X for comment via email.
