FEMA email: Firings will affect 'majority of our staff'

Source: Politico

The Trump administration is laying the groundwork to fire Federal Emergency Management Agency staff who have worked on addressing climate change or promoting equity and diversity, according to interviews and emails obtained by POLITICO’s E&E News — on top of the hundreds of probationary employees it removed during Presidents Day weekend.

The already-strapped disaster agency is being directed to “come up with employee reductions far beyond the probationary list,” a top FEMA official wrote in an internal email sent recently to senior agency staff. “Direction is to make a list of anyone who worked on or works on climate, environmental justice, equity, DEIA,” the email reads, referring to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. The email obtained by E&E News was cropped to not include the name of the sender.

Another internal email, sent on Wednesday, told rank-and-file employees to “scrub” terms from agency records that Trump highlighted in his executive orders on climate change and diversity. Any document with taboo phrases will be put into an archive folder that will be deleted in three years.

“They’re trying to systematically erase everything that happened before,” said one FEMA employee who is posted at a disaster site and has been pulled away from helping survivors get their damaged homes inspected so repairs can begin. “It is taking away from time doing on-the-ground disaster-recovery work.”

toll it will take. And the cricket sound when people look around for help in the aftermath.

I wish it could be limited to felon voters, but it won't be.

It's already underway. Right where Rancid (FUCK SPAWN OF RON) Paul lives.

And then with the Polar Vortex lobe dropping down over the central U.S. and a snowstorm (local reports were for around 3" ), the whole thing is freezing over.

7. Trump will give money to red states, not to blue states?

And the red state officials will steal most of it.
Corruption is now the new American value.

Tornados happen in the mid-west and south (which includes Texas) and I guess we get to see how well they pull themselves up by their own bootstraps... or was that hoisted by their own petards?

Does these poopy heads think if they fire the humans doing the work, problems like constant disasters and climate change will go away?

Toddlers can't unbreak the lamp. And they shouldn't be in charge of anything if this is their solution.

...but if Mar a Lago were to get demolished after a hurricane, and FEMA doesn't have the funding to help out, I'm certainly not going to lose much if any sleep over it.

How many Katrinas will it take before they turn against him?

But lots of people are going to die or be left homeless under this regime.
