The U.S. has sent another group of suspected gang members to El Salvador. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a post on X that the group of 17 included "violent criminals from the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 organizations, including murderers and rapists."
Rubio did not provide the names of the individuals removed from the country. He also didn't say whether they were convicted of a crime in the U.S. Nonetheless, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele posted a video on X showing a plane arriving in his country Sunday night. He said "all individuals are confirmed murderers and high-profile offenders, including six child rapists."
The video showed the individuals being removed from a plane and loaded onto a bus. They were then taken to a high-security prison, where their heads were shaved and they were locked behind bars.
This was the second time the Trump administration has sent suspected gang members to El Salvador. Earlier this month, more than 240 individuals were transported to the notorious prison, where they will apparently be held for a year.

(2,809 posts)I thought there was an order to stop. I thought they were still hiding behind state secrets so as not to disclose details (such as flight schedules) but I have read nothing that they could resume such flights.....are they counting on the "impeach the judge" talk to let the continue?
