700 troops have been mobilized to help ICE in raids in Florida, Louisiana and Texas

Source: The Independent

Tuesday 17 June 2025 17:04 EDT

The Defense Department has mobilized 700 troops to assist Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Florida, Louisiana and Texas. These troops will “not participate in law enforcement activities” but will “provide logistical support, and conduct administrative and clerical functions,” according to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell. The troops were deployed last week, Parnell said.

The three states have seen several large-scale ICE raids since Trump took office in January and implemented his hardline anti-immigration agenda, promising to carry out the “largest deportation operation in American history.”

There are several ICE detention centers in Louisiana and Texas, and local police officers have already started assisting ICE efforts in Florida, the agency announced in April.

Reports emerged Tuesday of raids in southwest Louisiana. Federal and local agents raided the Delta Downs Racetrack, Casino and Hotel near Vinton, Louisiana, about two hours west of Baton Rouge, according to the Louisiana Illuminator. It’s unclear how many people were detained.

When I lived in a border state, various military units were brought in to do the administrative tasks so the officers could be freed up to go to the field and do their usual jobs. The military units handled the collateral duties the officers had been doing.

And instead of a dozen workers in a plant, they'd only have to arrest and prosecute a single farmer or a single owner of a manufacturing plant.

When they don't go after the employers, the employers just go and get more undocumented workers and the cycle continues. If they DID go after the employers and imposed stiff fines and jail sentences, there would be no more jobs to attract undocumented workers. This "problem" would go away.

They know this. They know they could stop this on a dime if that's what they really wanted to do. But they don't. So WE know that's not what they really want to do.

This is just a hunting party for the good old boys. This is sport for them. It has nothing to do with anger at lack of documentation. It has to do with people who want to think others are sub-human so they can feel superior.

One would think that having been "at war" for over 20 years, some of that would have been broken through military training and experience - at least among the vets. But there is another group out there who are apparently "wannabe vets" who do nothing but role-play, with no sense of "purpose" other than "the frag".

Because we'll suffer a long time before robotic farming and/or services take the place of these deported humans.

I wonder how those farmers and hospitality owners are going to take it. And I sure hope there are some MAGAs in the middle of home improvements or new construction who can't get the work completed. And all those elderly who rely on immigrants doing their landscaping, well I guess their kids will have to do it now.

Let them find out just how much Americans rely on immigrates.

It's going to take a few brave men and women to spark the turn around by the military to inflict terror on the Regime.
