Iran's leader rejects call to surrender, saying US intervention would cause 'irreparable damage'

Source: AP

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran's supreme leader on Wednesday rejected U.S. calls for surrender in the face of more Israeli strikes and warned that any military involvement by the Americans would cause “irreparable damage to them."

The second public appearance by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei since the Israeli strikes began six days ago came as Israel lifted some restrictions on daily life, suggesting that the missile threat from Iran was easing.

Khamenei spoke a day after U.S. President Donald Trump demanded in a social media post that Iran surrender without conditions and warned Khamenei that the U.S. knows where he is but has no plans to kill him, “at least not for now.”

Trump initially distanced himself from Israel’s surprise attack on Friday that triggered the conflict, but in recent days he has hinted at greater American involvement, saying he wants something “much bigger” than a ceasefire. The U.S. has also sent more military aircraft and warships to the region.

I don't think it would affect us as it did in '73 during the Arab embargo, and if they did that, Been A Dick Donald would probably use it as an excuse to invade the oil producing nations in the ME, thereby triggering WWIII.

and what little remained in the US would skyrocket in price. It would also help Iran's ally Russia.

10. I don't think he'd cancel the contracts... he'd just demand more off the top for himself, instead.

What about military equipment. I'm assuming they have bombs. If they don't have any that would reach us now, I'm sure Un would step in to help. Iranians are smart people... which is one of the reasons they have such trouble dealing with little donny.

And planes have been hardened a lot since 9/11
Most they can do is lob some missiles at US military bases in the Middle East

has opened a huge door to the opportunities of evil that we don't normally consider. I mean, all we need is for Iranian agents to make common cause with maga, and imagine the possibilities. We don't need planes flying into buildings anymore. There is no national security in this country anymore. With all the emphasis on deportation and "papers please" arrests, I no longer feel our border is at all protected from REAL terrorists bent on doing us harm. Too many ways for them to do it, and this administration is too stupid to even acknowledge any of it... except to pin it all on Mexicans and dark tanned women.
