Democrats boycott hearing on alleged cover-up of Biden's mental decline

Senate Democrats staged a near-total boycott of a Republican-led Senate hearing on Wednesday on Joe Biden’s mental decline and its alleged cover-up during his presidency, with only the Vermont senator Peter Welch attending the session. The hearing, titled “Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Cover-Up Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution”, began with the Democratic ranking member, Dick Durbin, launching a counterattack on Donald Trump’s off-kilter comments before walking out of the chamber.

Durbin questioned the focus on Biden’s cognitive abilities while highlighting recent statements by Donald Trump, including his claim after the G7 meeting in Alberta about signing a trade agreement with the EU through Britain – despite the UK leaving the bloc five years ago.

“If we’re going to make a question of cognitive ability, I think we should consider what happened in Alberta, Canada, just this week,” Durbin said, before playing a video compilation of Trump statements including his false claims about migrants “eating the dogs” and “eating the cats” and a hurricane being “one of the wettest we’ve ever seen from the standpoint of water”.

The hearing features three Republican witnesses: the former Trump administration officials Theodore Wold and Sean Spicer and legal scholar John Harrison, with testimony focusing on Biden’s alleged use of an autopen device for signatures and media coverage of presidential mental acuity.

Dems not recognizing Biden's aging and mental state is why Trump is president today.
I'm not talking about crazy dementia stuff like we're hearing from Trump (and Biden made more sense at his worst than Trump has ever made at his best), but Biden's ability to be articulate and communicate to the level required for a presidential campaign (in a debate, for example), or handle the schedule required.

The power structure in the Democratic Party did drop the ball, but making this a conspiracy given what is going on now is laughable.

reminds me of when the Dems had their hearings on the 2004 Election concerning the state of Ohio, in the basement. Don't know why I have to remember all this stuff. I think it's a curse. Seems so much more enjoyable to rip apart a party I've identified with for so long. Funny, I have no allegiance with the federal government at all, but people don't seem to enjoy attacking the real power that runs it. Just Democrats.

In his worst, most debilitated state, Joe Biden was 100 times better a president than trump ever dreamed of being. Pleased to see Democrats boycotting today's hearing---way past time to concentrate on the drooling lunatic holding power in the White House, at this very moment.

if Joe showed up for these hearings? Tell them yes I’m old but I’m not crazy like the current POTUS. Give a speech and straight out let them know that Joe is in control of his faculties period end of story. Take no questions and walk out.

when you have the CURRENT deranged man in the WH threatening WW3, tripping up the AF1 steps, and dropping signed documents during the G7 meeting.

Biden is NOT in any elected or appointed office.

The rethuglicans' Supreme Leader falls asleep during funerals, court hearings, and his own birthday parade. Every time he opens his mouth, out comes some nonsensical word salad. He's making more demented mistakes every day, and exhibiting extremely poor judgment.

For anyone who has forgotten how sharp President Biden still is:

Pulled us out of a pandemic, created jobs, and fed the stock market tto record levels.
I left out that he drew a map in sharpie to match his deluded belief of a hurricane track, threw out random tariffs, and leaked war plans to the press. Because I'm trying to cover it up.

Need to hold hearings on the coverup of Trump's obvious medical issues. Look into how they're covering up his Alzheimer's, his possible kidney or heart problems, his catheter, his incontinence.
