Trump-backed crypto regulation bills fail to clear key hurdle in Congress

The U.S. House failed Tuesday to clear a key procedural hurdle that would have cleared the way for votes in the lower chamber on several crypto-related bills.
The failed vote delivers a major blow to to the crypto industry, which was hoping for a series of legislative wins this week which had been billed as Crypto Week.
The final vote was 196-223, with 13 Republicans voting with Democrats to block the procedural motion, NBC News reports

(157,406 posts)Apparently the Rules package failed and some members complained that Amendments were not allowed while others wanted to combine into a single bill.
