Tulsi Gabbard defends her presence at FBI search of Georgia elections hub

WASHINGTON — Tulsi Gabbard on Monday defended her presence at an FBI search of an election center in Fulton County, Georgia, that has raised questions about her involvement as director of national intelligence. In a letter to the top Democrats on the House and Senate intelligence committees, Gabbard said she was at the center last week in keeping with U.S. law and her responsibilities as the country’s top intelligence official.

Gabbard stood by her decision not to brief lawmakers about intelligence on possible threats to election security before her trip to Georgia, saying she would not “irresponsibly share incomplete assessments.” “I will share our intelligence assessments with Congress once they are complete,” she wrote.

Gabbard went on to say she had broad authority as the director of national intelligence to oversee efforts to ensure U.S. elections are secure and to identify and analyze any potential foreign threats to elections or voting systems. In her letter, she acknowledged that she had arranged a call with FBI personnel and President Donald Trump.

Gabbard wrote that she placed a call in Fulton County to allow Trump to express his gratitude to the FBI agents who conducted the search. “He did not ask any questions, nor did he or I issue any directives,” Gabbard wrote.

What "broad authority"? That's not the DNI's job, particularly when you are talking about an election from over 5 years ago that reeked of manufactured "election fraud" nonsense that was debunked over and over and over.

Deputy AG Contradicts Trump on FBI Election Probe, Claims Tulsi Gabbard Is ‘Not Part of This Investigation’

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche raised more questions than answers during an interview with Fox News on Monday night. On Wednesday, FBI agents executed a search warrant at the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center in Georgia, which President Donald Trump lost in 2020. Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, was photographed on the scene inside a vehicle containing boxes of documents taken from the site. Notably, Gabbard has no oversight of the FBI and no statutory investigative authority. Nevertheless, Trump, who falsely claims the 2020 election was rigged against him, said last week that Gabbard is on the case.

Appearing on The Ingraham Angle, Blanche was asked about Gabbard’s role. “What can you tell us about that?” Laura Ingraham asked.

“So, this is an FBI investigation,” replied Blanche, who previously served as Trump’s personal attorney. “And it’s a grand jury investigation. And because of that, there’s not a lot we can talk about. I read the same article you read about a conversation. The president talks to law enforcement all week long. And so, the fact that he talked with agents working hard doesn’t surprise me. And actually, I love it. It’s great.”

Ingraham tried again. “Everyone knows I love Tulsi Gabbard, but why was she at that particular raid?” she asked. “Well, first of all, she wasn’t at the search. She was in the area where the search took place,” Blanche said before claiming Gabbard is not part of the probe despite Trump’s comments. “She’s not part of this investigation.

4. I think the primary reason they snatched Maduro was the Venezuela vote rigging conspiracy theory.

Now Maduro is in a jail cell, they can get him to say anything they want for him to get released.

This was never about drugs.

That is why the DNI was at this raid.

6. This just makes me think whatever election tampering they tried to do in Georgia didn't work the first time.

They may be trying to find out what went wrong by using this as a cover and possibly planting evidence or deeming their own methods of tampering as being done by some "nefarious entity" in Georgia.

The obsession with Georgia makes me think this way about this bizarre operation.
