Poland's Tusk questions US loyalty to NATO

Source: Kyiv Independent

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk put into question Washington's readiness to defend Europe in accordance with NATO obligations, the Financial Times reported on April 24.

Europe's "biggest, most important question is if the United States is ready to be as loyal as it is described in our (NATO) treaties," Tusk told the Financial Times in an interview.

The comments underscore the growing unease among NATO allies after U.S. President Donald Trump publicly floated leaving the alliance.

Trump, a long-time NATO critic, threatened repercussions against allies who refused to join the U.S. war with Iran. Previously, he also aggressively pushed to annex Greenland, a territory of a NATO ally, Denmark.

2. The United States is loyal to NATO. It's Putin's agent in the White House that has a problem with it.

is one of if not the most corrupt and evil forces in the world today. That's why the people in the front line countries of Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, etc. hold more weight in my opinion than others. They have an intimate experience with the evil of Russian imperialism. Learned through centuries of struggle to throw away the Russian yoke that was placed on their necks. As an American, I hang my head in shame every time I hear Trump or anyone in positions of power take Putin's side in the Russian terror war against Ukraine.

If Trump thinks he will experience financial gain from kissing Putin's boots, he's fooling himself. Putin will reel him in and then backstab him. It only takes time for Russian backstabbing to reveal itself.

He only obeys Putin due to whatever Putin has on him. I suspect his relationship with Netanyahu is on that same level.
