Live: US denies media reports that Iran struck American vessel in Strait of Hormuz

Source: France24

A US official on Monday denied Iran state media reports that a US warship entering the ‌Strait of ‌Hormuz turned back after Iran fired missiles at it. Iran's military earlier warned that US forces would be attacked if they entered the strategic waterway after US President Donald Trump said the US would begin escorting stranded vessels. Middle East crisis live: Iran claims it stopped US warship from sailing through strait of Hormuz

Two missiles hit US warship intending to pass through strait of Hormuz - report

Iran’s Fars news agency is reporting that a US warship intending to pass through the strait of Hormuz was turned back after ignoring a warning from Iran’s navy, citing “news sources in the south”.

The report, which we have not yet been able to independently verify, said that two missiles hit a US navy frigate sailing through the waterway in what Iran deemed a violation of “traffic and shipping security” near Jask island.

Iran’s civil rights record is marked by severe, systemic repression, characterized by widespread torture, arbitrary detentions, and the highest recorded execution rates since 1989. Authorities frequently suppress dissent through violent crackdowns on protesters, severe restrictions on freedom of expression, and strict, discriminatory enforcement of mandatory veiling laws

Based on reports from early 2026, statements from the Iranian government, particularly regarding military actions and regional influence, are often characterized by significant exaggeration, propaganda, and strategic misinformation, rather than a factual representation of events

Does Trump lie cheat , steal? Yes.,, Is his word trustworthy? Hell no. Would we be better off if he had not gotten the presidency ? We all know the answer to that. But,, for many of us that have near and dear relatives serving in the US Navy in the region IF the war starts again then I am whole heartedly rooting for a complete and ruthless ass kicking of the Iranian regime no matter what as long as it has to last

The pontifications from the conflict's agents and cheerleaders have degraded to lackluster variations on "but they do it too."

trump's a carnival-barking idiot. His base is comprised of naive marks ready to oppose any truth inconvenient to their Lee Greenwood narrative by calling ugly reality propaganda.
