NEW YORK, June 21 (Reuters) - People caught vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Washington’s National Mall will be fully prosecuted, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said on Sunday.

President Donald Trump has blamed vandalism for recent problems with the newly renovated pool, including its new blue paint peeling off. Citations for vandalism have been issued, Pirro said on Sunday, adding that even minor crimes must be prosecuted to keep the U.S. capital safe.

The peeling paint was visible in the 2,000-foot-long rectangular pool, a major national landmark, less than two weeks after Trump declared its $14.7 million renovation project completed on June 6. Trump on Saturday claimed, without providing evidence, that vandals poured corrosive chemicals into the pool.

Anyone who is in a position of vandalizing or attempting to vandalize will face the criminal justice system in D.C.,” Pirro told Fox News’ “Sunday Briefing” program.

Imaging the damage these people would be doing if they were as competent as Hitler's people. Hitler had a real mission other than himself. It was a terrible vision for humanity, but the point is that Hitler had a huge desire for it to be successful globally. While he led the charge, his vision was of a highly organized hierarchy, where strong leaders were in place at every level.

Trump's vision is personal wealth and unlimited personal power. He doesn't want ANY competent people around him. He only wants people who will follow his orders and help him achieve his crimes. These are not competent people. In fact, it is hard to imaging any less competent people thatn Pirro, Kennedy, Witkoff etc.

While it was still under repair. They drove over the lining. They drove over the unlined portions. There is video of them visiting the pool and DRIVING IN/ON IT WHILE IT WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION/REPAIR!

That could have caused the liner NOT TO SEAL DOWN. IMHO.

Trump claimed COVID would last less than a week, he claimed he destroyed all of Irans nukes but then attacked Iran a second time, only a couple of months later, claiming he needed to destroy the nukes he claimed he already destroyed, he destroyed the East Wing of the White House ignoring US Law, destroyed the White House lawn building a fighting ring, miles of his border wall, that Mexico did NOT pay for, literally blew down in high winds and now, of course, the DC reflecting pool has been destroyed. All of these failures prove extreme corruption and ineptitude. Most likely the reflecting pool fiasco is because Trump hired a corrupt friend to do the work at an overly exaggerated price and or Trump ordered his own motorcade to drive over the newly painted pool.

Republicans are inept fools who are more than happy to jail innocents in an effort to avoid responsibility for their own ineptitude and corrupt activities. The fact the Piro is aiding in these lies and promising to prosecute innocents to protect Trump shows the criminality of the GOP control of all three branches of American government.
