If Trump aims to turn America into a police state, these are the officials he will utilize. After only 10 days as president-elect, he appears to be on his way.

The most powerful levers of control in the United States government are found in the six positions where intelligence-gathering and brute force overlap — the Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Homeland Security, Attorney General, Director of the CIA, and Director of National Intelligence.

These six constitute the raw muscle of the federal government, where information about the nation’s security is gathered and force is wielded.

Trump could turn America into a police state by putting people into these positions who are more loyal to him than they are to America and the U.S. Constitution.

Trump has repeatedly warned of a so-called “enemy within.” If he is serious about this putative threat — and we must assume he is — he, and the people around him now planning all of this, must be ready to wield the power of the nation to spy on and use military force against such so-called internal enemies.

2. Action Items

We need to have specific action items we can take to protect our freedoms. I think three important ones are:
1. Support the ACLU who will fight for us in court.
2. Support the Democratic Party who will fight for us in elections and in court.
3. Participate in protests and demonstrations to let the fascists know we will not go quietly.

There will be other action items, but these will give us a good start.

I'm sorry to say but 60s-70s-80s era kayfabe protests won't do it.
The last one that had proven this, Occupy WallStreet, was dismantled surgically by the boys n' gals with sunglasses & badges with 'Special' attached to their role. At that time, sure, it was because of the economic crisis, but don't hold your breath by for miracles, because those don't exist in a vacuum.

Public display of self-righteous indignation won't cut it, anymore...

Remember: police, military, IC, all have bills of their own to pay, mortgages of their own to pay, wives/husbands/children/concubines of their own that have wants n' needs to satisfy.

Their paycheck+retirement plan VS you displaying self-righteous indignation.
