During Trump’s first go in the presidency, there was an internet meme ETTD: Everything Trump Touches Dies. It was mostly to mock him of the failures of his university, charities, steaks, vodka, airline and 3 casinos. This time it is much more ominous and sinister. Let’s look at this partial list.
Fair and Free Elections. Gone. Trump admitted that he had stolen the 2024 election. “They rigged the election and I’m president.” Trump 2/2025 televised speech.
First Amendment of free speech and the right to demand redress from the government. Gone. If you speak out, you can and will be deported or denied entry to the U.S.
Fourth Amendment. Gone. ICE can now enter any home they choose and arrest anyone for anything they consider undocumented or gang related.
Federal Parks. Gone. Parks are closed, and staff has been dismissed. No more summer vacations for Americans or tourists, but soon they will be logged into oblivion. Trump wants to log 280 million acres.
Affordable food, medicine and fuel. Gone. Trump’s tariffs are wreaking havoc on the economy and household budgets.
Tourism. Gone. America has been designated “failing democracy” and travel warnings are in place from several countries.
Independent Judiciary. Gone. Trump’s minion told Supreme Court Chief Justice to “F*** himself and he would do as he pleased” when Robert’s had the nerve to deny Trump’s illegal deportations.
Geo-Political Alliances. Gone. NATO countries are arming themselves against the U.S..
Education Department. Gone. Children with Disabilities will no longer receive the help they need to become educated.
Medicare and Medicaid. On life support and soon to be gone. 40% of children receive medical care through Medicaid and 73,000,000 Americans will soon lose Social Security, including disability SNAP, and low income people who receive SSI.
This is a short list; many other departments are being gutted daily. Yes, the ETTD meme is spot on and we, the citizens are the biggest losers of Trump/Musk’s raids on our government funds. RIP America.
