House GOP unveils plan to raise debt limit by $4 trillion

(The Hill) House Republicans are moving forward with plans to raise the nation’s debt ceiling by $4 trillion as part of a larger plan to advance President Trump’s tax agenda.

The proposal, which was included in legislative text unveiled by the House Ways and Means Committee on Monday, is in line with House instructions outlined in a blueprint adopted by congressional Republicans last month that kicked off the process by which the party is using to enact Trump’s tax priorities.

Including the debt ceiling in the broader bill will allow Republicans to avoid Democratic demands for concessions in exchange for their votes to raise the debt limit. But tacking debt limit action onto the same vehicle they’re using for Trump’s tax plans could also put a tight time crunch on Republicans to pass the sweeping tax bill.

that this is happening? That their orange god and party of "Christians" is looting the treasury and condemning millions to suffer and die?

If they do know, how do they reconcile these actions with the teachings of Jesus?

I just don't get it, other than that their voters are a bunch of ignorant, cruel dumbasses.

When Obama planned to raise the debt limit Republicans had a meltdown even though Reagan raised the debt limit seven times in eight years.

wasn't it the tea partiers, aka today's magats, who went all apoplectic over the national debt? Are they going to come out in full force against their "golden idol" and his GOP lackeys?

About a month ago at a "HANDS OFF" protest I had a MAGA person in my face shouting about the deficit. Wish I could track him down today and see what he thought about a $4 trillion addition to the already "criminal" deficit. (his words)
