'Really Chilling': Trump Judicial Nominees Refuse to Say He's Not Eligible for 3rd Term
"During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) asked Trump judicial nominee John Marck to describe the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution, which states that 'no person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice.' "
'The 22nd Amendment... senator, my career has mostly been in criminal prosecution, I havent had an opportunity to use that one, specifically,' Marck replied."
"Joyce Vance, a former federal prosecutor and current professor at the University of Alabama School of Law, said that Trumps declared intention to run for a third term should not be brushed off as mere trolling."
'This is how he started with the whole if I lose the election is fraudulent shtick,' she wrote. 'If we dont listen to this, shame on us. That man isnt building a ballroom for the next guy.' "

(42,146 posts)Ok maybe there are a few crazy MAGAs still out there, but nowhere near enough to get Chump re-elected for another term. The sensible and truly conservative Repukes understand the danger this would create. Also they can see that Chump is truly deranged, incompetent and undeserving of a third term.
When you combine the votes of all Democrats, most of the independents, and the few thoughtful concerned R's who will vote against Chump - there's no way he could win another term. I really want to believe (and hope) that the Repuke party wouldn't choose him as their candidate, but we'll see.
Maybe I'm being naive, but I believe most of us can see that he is destroying the country and the US Constitution.
