Orange Noise

So I just recently saw something online about orange noise, which is akin to white noise and brown noise in that it is effective at blocking out distractions to facilitate meditation or sleep.
But I think it must have something to do with the SOURCE of the orange noise as to whether or not it will cause this relaxing effect for the listener.
