So many, it's impossible to pick one 'favorite'
but I like this one...

He took a dog-doo snow cone and stuffed it in my right eye
He took a dog-doo snow cone and stuffed it in my other eye
And the husky wee-wee, I mean the doggie wee-wee
Has blinded me, and I can't see, temporarily

The music to that silly song is phenomenal.

That album was, to my mind, his masterpiece.

(I especially liked it, because my girlfriend, later my wife, used to sing along with "Dirty Love." )

When I was a teenager, I once tried to convince my Dad to tell a waitress in a DC hotel that we were dental floss farmers from Montana. He didn’t go for it.

Silly, yes, but not stupid.

Did you know a montana is the name for a dental instrument? It’s the gismo a hygienist uses to scrape scale off your teeth.

So it’s a play on words, elaborated into a warped fantasy. Not stupid, IMHO. And with a pretty good tune backing it up!

"
Here come old flat-top, he come groovin' up slowly
He got ju-ju eyeball, he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker, he just do what he please
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
He wear no shoeshine, he got toe-jam football
He got monkey finger, he shoot Coca-Cola
He say, "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together, right now
Over me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
He bag production, he got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard, he one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair, you can feel his disease
Come together, right now
Over me
Shoot me
Right!
Come, come, come, come, come
He roller-coaster, he got early warnin'
He got muddy water, he one mojo filter
He say, "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good-lookin' 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together, right now
Over me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Ugh!
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Oh, come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together"

BeatlesBible says...

Come Together’ was composed for Timothy Leary’s campaign to stand against Ronald Reagan as governor of California. Leary and his wife Rosemary had traveled to Montreal for John and Yoko’s bed-in for peace, which took place on 1 June 1969. The Learys participated in the recording of Lennon’s ‘Give Peace A Chance’, and were both namechecked in the lyrics.

Who was teaching the "true meanings" of Beatles songs.

So it sounds like John was just trolling that professor.

… they were making fun of how seriously everyone seemed to take their lyrics, trying to find deeper meanings. “Let’s do this song with completely nonsensical lyrics and see what people come up with, trying to read a hidden message in it.” They probably enjoyed some good laughs about it, especially since it became a very popular tune.
