I love seeing them at the birdhouse and feeders in the morning. There's a pair that comes here a lot.

I put out a clear pie pan full of water in summer to watch and photograph the "birdbath". These guys move in and bully everybody else out of the pool while they splash half the water out of the dish. The others get out of their way though an occasional yellow rumped warbler would protest for a few seconds.

Some of the pictures turned out well where you can see the underwater parts of the image. Action shots.

This is a nice. clear image.
