How about you get the Mesa Verde Salad or the Cilantro Avocado Lime bowl? Maybe Quorn tacos on corn tortilla? What about Biryani? Or just about any Indian dish? Poke bowl?

I wait tables. I do counter service. I have for years. You want to know what i hate? "This burger isn't cooked right!" or "This steak isn't rare!"

There's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian or having food allergies.

I look at the menu and find many things. Sometimes my meal consists of several side dishes. I can always find something good to eat

Or specific dietary needs? I understand some people can be difficult. I’ve worked in restaurants and it’s generally pretty easy to know whether you can accommodate someone’s needs and communicate options, if any. There are people who’d love to have less dietary restrictions. Difficult people can come in all forms. Trying to navigate allergies isn’t inherently mean you are being difficult.

And part of a server's job is to help diners with this.

I'd tip the hell out of a server that helped me navigate food allergies.

I've had customers say the same thing. If they want a meaty taste, I suggest a Beyond burger made of peas and brown rice.
