I would like to remind those of you who have dogs. There is no depth to their dedication and loyalty.

Especially as i sit here with Dunc the golden chonk and Oliver Pyrenees golden retriever pup.

The dedication the love no ulterior motives no strings attached we’re here for you man the K -9 loyalty.

I was feeling it like i need more cowbell as i was eating yogurt and blueberries for breakfast.

I met her and a few other DUers in NYC after Bush was elected, after the Gore/Bush....( during the dial-up internet and Comcast period).
We were parading with a DU banner through the crowds.

They motivate me to be the kind of person they think I am. They definitely make me feel wanted and valuable.

Now cats, on the other hand, make me feel humble

The Maltese Monster has never:

Had a job that earns money.
Doesn't pay rent.
Never had to ask 'can you hear me' on a Teams or Zoom.
Never had to circle back to someone.
Has a maid and a butler.
Doesn't have to bathe himself.

I just love this for him!

All he has to do is lounge around, look sexy, give me angrily delivered reports of what happened in the house while I was gone, be a bed hog, and chillax.

I'm winning!

In the front yard starting a walk, Josie takes off after something, jerks the leash off my arm, causing me to fall and hit my forehead on a flowerbed brick. On the way to the ER we found her a half mile away. 2 inch gash and 9 stitches later, she still has not apologized 😂

I’m getting way too old to have a dog so strong as the one I have now

It’s common among my park friends. We used to be able to let the dogs run from the parking lot to the gate but our county has really cracked down and the ‘bad man’ has been ticketing. So we risk getting dragged around instead. Squirrels may be the death of me.

I’m glad Josie was safe and hope you didn’t get a concussion 🤕

I’m going for a small terrier next time

had knee surgery, and the dog moved into his bedroom, wouldn't leave his side. After those two healed up, our dog moved into our bedroom and planted herself right next to my husband's side of the bed, which sort of alarmed him. My hubby was fine, but it did make us wonder a bit. True story. That was many years ago, and one of the many memories we have of our good ol' dog. Lived until 17.
