These were from those 4 scans for the cervical & thoracic spine.
Found no new lesions and nothing indicating recent exacerbation of the NS.
They did find some cervical stenosis which explains the pinching feeling in my left shoulder & elbow that comes & goes.
They also found a small abnormality between C4 & C5. This is not an uncommon finding, and is likely a benign growth.
They'll be calling to schedule a follow-up appointment about that.
I'd like to know if this could be the cause of my burning feet being worse than MS ever caused.
We shall see. But, I'm not stressing over it.

(6,668 posts)Peripheral neuropathy can result from traumatic injuries, infections, metabolic problems, inherited causes and exposure to toxins. One of the most common causes of neuropathy is diabetes.
Chemo quite often causes it.
My father had burning in his feet due to neuropathy. He did develop type 2 diabetes but not long enough to have caused it.
Good luck

(35,637 posts)myself all have it after age 60. I do a lot of exercise and that seemed to keep it under control. I use an old fashioned coke bottle and roll it under each foot. That really helps.

(234 posts)My burning feet turned out to be potatoes. After 50 years of foot problems, I stopped eating potatoes an 80% of the pain went away in 2 weeks.
Nightshade intolerance.
Might not help you, but you might try it - rice, beans, squash, pasta instead of potatoes = for a couple weeks. If feet quit hurting/burning you have your culprit - else go enjoy some french fries.

(72,605 posts)I'm way more a noodles or rice guy, and I do most of the cooking, so my wife gets more of that than potatoes, too.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's it.

(8,497 posts)This sounds very simple minded, but has icing the feet ever helped? Icing my arthritic knee, and a still unexplained pain in my side which has not returned for a couple of years (touching wood) has had better results than I expected (the arthritis took longer.)

(72,605 posts)...to act upon it. I just want to know why it's different than the last 30 years.
TBH: I expected these MRIs to show some level of new MS activity.
This burning thing is concerning but miles from debilitating.
