Alternative Streaming Services that are NOT Netflix or Paramount

Help me create a list of streaming services that are not Netflix or Paramount.

I will start. These are less expensive than N & P.

Acorn.tv $8.99/month

Starz.com (current deal $3.00/month x 3 months)

Britbox.com $10.99/month

Tv.Apple.com $12.99/month

I have found some great shows on all of these.

Free if you have a public library card.

Don't expect current block busters, but there are lots of classic films, documentaries, and cult films.

Get an Apple TV box. It turned my 4K TV into an actual 4K TV.

Even HBO max looks great! (People complain about max.)

Apple puts the money into the electronics.

This is separate from Apple TV+, which is an excellent TV service.

I switch services every month. This month is max. Next is Paramount (only because they are offering me a free month to "come back" ). Then a month of Disney.

Free streaming of a lot of movies and TV shows. It has apps for a lot of the streaming services both free and pay. One app I lie is the Sirius/XM app so I can listen to music or progressive talk.

Plex
Pluto
Zumo
Tubi
Freevee ( which is the free Prime from Amazon)
Sling Freestream ( which is Sling with commercials)
All on Roku and then there is the Roku channel too.

I do pay for Spectrum for the networks and MSNBC and other regular cable channels.

meaning there's ads, but it's not like Prime with ads. Prime is nothing but 8 minutes of content, 10 minutes of Tremfya ads. Later, rinse, repeat. I digress.

Anyway, it's not a huge selection, but it's a nice option to have.

Which is a good thing to do anyway. They have tons of shows, including many, if not all, of Ken Burns works.

$14.99/mo. Some great fare, plus I'm glad to help support the independent film industry.
