So. I guess plastic hangers have a shelf life.

I bought my home in 1985... so I'm dating the hangers at about 40 years old.

In the past week, five of them have broken... just normal usage.

I may need to go buy some. Or clear out my closets.

five minutes!

That said, I don't get who in the hell ever thought velveteen-like material-covered hangers was a good idea. It catches on everything, so that it takes five times longer to get a shirt on the damned thing.

I agree... who the hell thought of that?

I only buy wooden ones. If it is plastic, it is a heavy duty hanger. I still have some, but I have been weeding them out for the past ten years.

sometimes the hook snaps off, sometimes they snap along the shoulders or across the bottom.

Yes, they do wear out

Of plastic. Have ya seen images of Christy Noem in the hearing today, without filtering and Hollywood camera magic, and without a Hollywood wardrobe budget? She looks like shit with an expensive wig trying to make her appear sexy.
She looks like one of those massive clusters of plastic floating around in our oceans, Intent on killing any life she encounters. A floating wad of poison. And all of MAGA believe they have a chance of getting some of that. Cause they got a red hat. Sad!

That's how the conquer us. Now that everything is made of plastic, they make the plastic brittle at once and civilization collapses.
Don't say it sounds silly! I read it on the internet, so it has to be true.
