I would love to go there someday when they're playing the Cubs. I've gone to see the Cubs in several different cities. It's a great way to see the city and cheer on my favorite team.

I think I'll add that to my bucket list.

play in both. Then they built a stadium that is almost exactly like Forbes Field. I like the new stadium. Right next to the Ohio River and the inside is beautiful. Too bad we don't have a team to go with it.

I never understood hockey. Red line, blue line, white line, stop. What the hell is icing? The whole damn game is icing. Plus, I’ve never seen a goal. You go to the game, buy a beer, go to your seat, get cold, have to pee, go to the john, somebody scores, rinse and repeat.

I have pretty much given up on pro sports and most men's sports. The money just ruins it.
Another couple of years and I may not be watching any sports.

I wonder if those betting sites have a line on that happening.

When I was a kid, we lived next to the local baseball field (Babe Ruth, American Legion). I would often stay for both games of a doubleheader. Dad would give me a dollar and that was enough for a hot dog, popcorn, and a Coke.

Bowling is a sport that people can do from ages 5 to 100. It's not an overly physical activity but it's one that requires coordination and the ability to make adjustments as the game goes on. I bowl in two leagues and sub in two other leagues and I'm 75. One league is a fun league where there is competition but everyone has a good time talking with each other and just having fun. The other league is a competitive league of bowlers who are above average. Some of the best bowlers in the county bowl in this league.

As a TV viewer, that's the order.
I'm a nut about baseball history though which is why I have the first 4 innings of Ken Burns' Baseball on DVR!
Not as interested in the history of the others.
I understand the appeal of hockey but I won't watch the NHL until they ban fighting.
The best hockey to watch is the Olympics. Mostly the same players, but fighting is banned & there is less rough stuff.
Why the NHL doesn't see that is a mystery to me.
But, they still cater to a bunch of Canadian cavemen who believe there's something interesting about guys on skates throwing off balance haymakers.

: loved base at Forbes Field. Saw the great Roberto Clemente Maz, Blass and others play.I would watch (if played on the road) or listen to Bob Prince and Nellie King and my Pirates at home. It you caught the wind write you could catch the Pirates in Altoona.and keep play by play stats on each player Also had the cards with a slate of Bazooka bubble (no individual ones,) You bought the pack. I : missed the Ken Burns doc. but the Homestead Grays played not far from my house when I lived in Duquesne, PA Sorry I was long.

When I was a kid, we'd go to 2 or 3 games at Wrigley each summer.
One of those games had to be against the Pirates because he wanted to see Roberto play.
For a couple years, he wanted to see the Reds because of Rose but I couldn't stand that guy, (even as a 10 or 11 year old) so I talked him out of it.
But, I was always excited to go to a Cubs/Pirates game.

NHL and College. Hockey players come across as more grounded and genuine than the other sports.

Huge baseball fan as a child; haven't watched a game for 20 years.

Football is OK, but they ruined College Football with the Transfer Portal and the unregulated NIL payments. Only watched one NFL game all season.

You would have to pay me to watch the NBA.

More action than baseball, no CTE brain damage (football), minimal injuries, amazing athletic abilities by the players.

We've been enjoying watching mens & womens games from New Zealand on ESPN+ (Hulu),

It helps that the games are played during the day in New Zealand which gives us a chance to watch it here (US) while relaxing after a busy day.

The "T20" matches are completed in a modest amount of time. I wouldn't recommend "Test" matches, as they go on for days and days ...

And it's fun trying to figure out what everyone is saying .. the New Zealand accent is ... different!
