Have only watched the first episode of the new one and wasn't thrilled. Did it live up to the first series at all?

What do you mean? I just rewatched season 1 in prep for season 2. Do you mean season 2 is the last season, or they ended it before finishing season 2?

I watched the first couple of episodes of Season 2 and there was no depth to any of the characters. Kinda like Slow Horses without the laughs. I’ll keep trying, but I don’t care about any of the characters yet.
