However I had one baby tooth until I was 64. Misplaced front tooth. No tooth fairy for that one .

My grandmother came from Poland and never quite got the concept of leaving the money under the pillow. She would stand at the doorway of my room and throw a handful of coins at me while I slept. When I woke up there be would change all over my bed! It was kind of like an Easter egg hunt with money instead of eggs! It was great.

My kids got more. A whole dollar!

I actually gave my son an IOU. Somehow we had no cash on hand, either that or only had big bills and didn't want to establish a precedent.
