Are you offended by Crocs?

Tampa airport recently banned Crocs. Why?
I really don't get it.
Do the airport idiots know that there are a lot of Croc knockoffs.

I have two friends who wear Crocs exclusively because they cannot wear any other shoes.

Is this legal?

It was a social media post made by the airport that went viral, and then people being people decided to become outraged. I'd Google it for more info. They were allegedly try to spark conversation about travle etiquette, including wearing pajamas into airports and the like.

"Free the Crocs!"

I guess they succeeded?

5. PJ's and Croc bans appear to be just the airport joking on social media

A quick google and it looks like this is all a joke. The Internet is a tough place to try and be silly and too many people repeated it as a serious policy.

15. Yes, joking has all but disappeared from our collective society.

I know that I will be trying to stop doing so.

I am tired of getting my face eaten off solely because the joke was not 'good'. (As well as the other reason, which is mentioned below.)

NO one said they had to be good. They just have to be jokes.

Which they were.

However, humor is not something in great supply these days, so...

Then, there is the fact that some just exist to be retaliatory and argumentative. They exist solely to whine, complain, and pick fights. They attack anything and everything because that validates their existence and earns them income from the others who are like them. (Such 'echo boxes are very popular on Youtube.)Their popularity has ruined comical discourse on that platform. Hell, there is one channel that starts every single post with "so and so is OUT!" or "Such and such has failed!".

Negativity seems to serve us better than humor these days.

Which is sad. I know why I am so negative. It is a shame that others are in that same boat.

22. I always loved that quote from Mr. Hope!

"Either leave them laughing or leave them wondering what the hell you meant!"

Unfortunately, these days no one is laughing and everyone is not just wondering what was meant, but have already decided what it was and that they hate it with a passion of a thousand burning suns.

It may well be one of the biggest losses in our collective society. Might as well move to Camazotz (L'Engle reference here.).

7. Was out tidying up back yard a bit. We've had some strong wind gusts and people let bags and such lay around

So I was picking up two big bags, and setting out some flower pots when I came across... a croc. Not a pair of them, just one. It was lime green and a bit muddy.

Still having some trouble trying to see a situation where somebody lost one croc and it blew over my wall into the yard. It was a big one too.

One croc in the wind? Usually it's just a airborne trampoline that crashed back to earth on a street corner around here. One croc? I think it might be a sign.

11. Well, they drove me nuts when EVERYONE was wearing them (maybe just in CO, but wow_

But, I certainly would not imagine banning them! They were just that overwhelmingly popular, I guess, but all I saw was plastic on people's feet (and I haven't been a big fan of plastic for a long time).

Still, to each, their own.

They go especially well with orange jumpsuits, like the one Trump needs to be wearing.

I think they're ugly, but wear what you want. Life is too short to worry about what other people think of your footwear.
