Good morning my DU family,

As lightning and thunder introduce themselves to us here in Illinois this morning, I'm reminded by my kitties that not all creatures handle things the same way.

My poor Petunia has been hiding in dark places from the very first thunderstorm she heard back in Colorado fifteen years ago, and she does so still.
Cuddles and Shadow are casual like it's any other day.

It reminds me that our friends are not going to react the same way to things that frighten or create anxiety. It also reminds me that each of us handles problems differently.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to listen to each other, embrace one another in our difficult moments, and to remember that we all travel our roads at our own pace and with our own limitations.

Let's love that about each other.

Have a beautiful day navigating the unique qualities of one another as we experience them.
Love, John

Looking at my local radar, I see the storm headed my way. Supposed to get here around 6 pm. I see your area of Illinois, and you are already in a tornado watch. Stay safe!

didn’t damage my home, but the sound was like nothing I had ever heard before. Like a freight train on your roof ready to come through the walls. My kitties were hiding under the comforter on my bed. They have never done that before. I think they sensed something was not like a normal thunderstorm.

Praying for a summer with “Normal” weather and everyone stays safe.

I've heard that sound before too and it's very scary. I'll join you in that prayer.
