(1,824 posts)I'll eat whatever is in the fridge, which is whatever they had at the store when I last went and approximates what I want.

(1,824 posts)Folks like what they like. I grew up poor, so I'm just happy to have a condiment at all.

(133,729 posts)(for my Hungarian HOT paprika and horseradish), are about three. A vast improvement over the days when I would drive 80 miles one way to the only spice shop in the state. Of course, I would also pick up my coffees and teas as well.
So how many jars do you purchase each trip.???

(1,192 posts)So I would suggest calling first before you drive there. In fact your local TJ's will make the call for you and have them put it on hold for you.
You can also ask your local TJ's to check and see when it's due to arrive and hold for you. They will usually do this for all items that are not seasonal.
A lot of TJ'S products are imported many from Canada. They do order every day so if it is available to order it can usually be at the store the next evening and on the shelf by opening the next morning.

(1,192 posts)And the other issue about stock.
Crew members actually do the ordering for the store. It's all done via computer (ecery day) and occasionally a product will show up as orderable and go out of stock before the computer is updated and order filled. This is due to several stores ordering from the same warehouse.
The discontinued items have a lot of variables not always based on sales. Sometimes it is due to pricing, other times it is due to the supplier being able to supply enough product for all the stores. If TJ's can work it out they will.
I do know most crew members will do their best to make sure you have your favorite product.
In case you haven't guessed I worked for them for over twenty years and just recently retired. I have been known to break down a (just delivered) pallet just to find my customer their favorite item.
Hopefully your store crew treats you the same.

(1,192 posts)Especially since that is one of my favorites. You will find them in the freezer isle hopefully with all the other Hispanic foods.
They come two to a package and when paired with the Spanish rice you have enough for two.
Again I'm really sorry that is not an acceptable answer. They should have taken you to the product.

(1,192 posts)Just so you know it has always been policy that customer comes first. I don't think their captain would appreciate those type of answers given to customers.
All tj crew are supposed to be customer oriented.

(16,788 posts)Edit to add the condiment. They make a stone ground mustard that is to die for.
Just so i can sit on their front porch and eat the best damn sausage dog you will ever have. I've been enjoying them since I was a kid. Bradley's has been making sausage since 1927. If you want a taste of the south you can order online. They ship worldwide. Be sure and get some of the hot sausage links.

(17,303 posts)I don't go specifically for the Swiss Chalet sauce packets, that would be insane.
Whenever I visit family in Ontario Canada the sauce packets are on my list of must haves.
If I run out and don't have a trip planned, my friend will mail some to me.
YES, it's that good
