(12,417 posts)Because I stole your new car! I know where you live and now I know what you would have been driving!!
You know what ticks me off? Why can't they just call it a signature lien? Or call it a release lien? Jesus Christ! They have to make up names to call different vehicle liens with different bullshit names these days! *Tilts head and looks into the camera*
On a serious note, I'm glad that neither one of you were involved in the multi-car accident.
using the lord's name in vain!

Here's your "lien/lean" selection for tonight:

(12,417 posts)That I get all quiet? I never say anything about it. I'll literally stare at the screen. I'll blank out and I never respond, like ever.
It's because it usually makes me extremely uncomfortable.
I'm not sure if you know this about me, True but I'm atheist. Although, I thought that you're cheez-its gif wagging his finger at me was hilarious! I don't think I've laughed that hard all day!
So thank you for that! It took me awhile to stop laughing so that I could respond.
That's a really fantastic song! Good choice!

(27,680 posts)It was a real wedge issue with my mom. She was a devout Catholic. Claimed to have heard the voice of God speaking to her once (no, she wasn't otherwise crazy).
Anyway, she always insisted that I would need god and the church in my life. After I went to university and started taking philosophy classes, I just thought religion was hard to swallow. Definitely not for me. Fortunately, my wife feels very much the same way.
When we got married, it was on my parent's front lawn, by a justice of the peace. There were 10 people in attendance. We spent $750. It was great! My mom was gracious about it, but word got back to me that she really wanted us to have a big church wedding. I just let it slide.
She tried imposing religion on me several more times over the years but it always ended in futility. She believed so strongly in it and she wanted all of us to believe too.
We were otherwise very close. This will probably not surprise you but I sometimes made jokes about the Catholic church, priests, god, etc. in front of her. Sometimes she had to laugh. Other times she would shake her head and tell me to knock it off.
RIP, Ma!
