Discovery Day SUCKED!

Two Stars and that's being generous. Spielberg has lost a step. Close Encounters of the Third is a far superior film.

I don't want to give it away, but it's convoluted and has deep plot issues that are under developed.

Went to see it a few days ago. I thought it was pretty good actually, if a bit long. Lots of action and suspense. I'm always up for anything that includes aliens.

Disclosure Day didn't live up to its hype. I was expecting more from Spielberg considering his previous movies like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T.. What he produced was standard action movie with a thin story line, much like most movies today. This will not be on the list of his best movies, IMO. The end of the movie, when the main character Margaret Fairchild goes on camera to disclose what the alien said ends before we find out what it is. The reason for this is the writers couldn't come up with an impactful statement.

I'll give Emily Blunt, who portrayed Margaret Fairchild, credit for doing a very good job of acting, especially when her character suddenly started speaking Russian and Korean. From the sound of the foreign languages she spoke she make it appear she actually knew those languages.
