(13,993 posts)I did my chores early and had leftovers from the day before.
My husband even brought me in a plate of food.
Just took my time painting and listening to Christmas carols.

(1,682 posts)My Beethoven, (Tov for short,) showed up on Christmas eve at the apartment complex my husband and I lived in in the late 1980s. He was an all white, blue-eyed beauty. I have no idea how old he was when I received the gift that he was to me, but I was blessed to have him for the next 16 years. My husband had purchased a book for me that Christmas, (long before my Tov showed up,) called The Cat Who Came For Christmas by Cleveland Amory. The hero of the book was--a white cat! Prophecy? Don't know, but Tov was always my best Christmas gift! You don't sell this as a card, do you?

(26,891 posts)I might try gouache in a month or two.
I did one 4/5ths done small painting in late 80's or early 90's. .I messed up the third figure (head, neck, bit of shoulders), but having read up on gouache I might be able clear out the mistake, and redo. It's on thick illustration board.

(13,993 posts)I was just discussing this with my paint friend yesterday. I messed up a few things this month and was able to save them!!
Makes you feel happy after you've spent hours on something you're ready to trash but save it!
Did that with my Santa boots.

(26,891 posts)Yeah, it's kind of painful when you've spent so much time, and effort, and then something goes really wrong that you can't fix.
It'll be a few months before I can buy the paints, and brushes.
Maybe I'll drop you (if ok) a quick DM to let you know when I'm ready to try....probably ? March, or April. We'll see.
